Today we welcomed Roland Proudlock to the club from local charity Prostate Buddies. Prostate Buddies was the chosen charity of 2023 Captain Paul Cruickshank where over the course of the year a fantastic total of £2431.36 was raised.
I would like to thank all the members who donated via the various events organised and donated into the charity tins on the bar. A fantastic effort.
This year’s Captains charity is Change Mental Health, with the Lady Captains being Violet’s Cuddles a local charity who provide teddy bears to bereaved parents in Dumfries and Galloway who have suffered the loss of their baby.
You will find Charity tins on the bar and there will also be various events organised where all proceeds go to these charities . Please donate the best you can.

Dear Members
I am thrilled to announce that after our Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held yesterday, the motion for the proposed practice facility at our golf club has been successfully passed. This is a significant step forward for our club and its members. I am delighted to inform you that a total of 183 members were in attendance at the EGM, and we are grateful for the overwhelming support shown by each one of you. Your participation and enthusiasm are truly appreciated.
With the motion passed, we can now move forward with confidence in enhancing our club’s facilities and providing even greater opportunities for our members to improve their skills and enjoy their time on the course. Our Head Professional and his team will be putting plans in place from today.
Thank you once again for your support and commitment to our club’s continued growth and success.
I am pleased to inform you that David Sharp and Jamie Welsh have officially commenced their apprenticeship in Green Keeping at the club as of today.
Their addition to our greens team is greatly welcomed and I look forward to seeing their careers develop.
With the bar and catering operations up and running again the opening hours have been updated on our website HERE. These will be changed for the summer months at the start of the new season.
