After our Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on 11/02/24, the motion for the proposed practice facility at our golf club has been successfully passed. This is a significant step forward for our club and its members. We are grateful for the overwhelming support shown by each one of you. Golfers in the “forgotten corner” of Scotland have been handed a huge boost after it was revealed that funding has been secured for a new state-of-the-art practice facility in the south of the country.
The exciting project unveiled by Dumfries & County Golf Club includes a four-bay range, four-hole academy course and a short-game area – all utilising Huxley Golf artificial surfaces – with the aim being to “foster the development of golf in our area”.

An example of the bay construction, please note the design will be of steel
structure opposed to timber. The wedge course will look upon completion, 4 holes
varying in length from 50-100 yards.
These greens will run at a stimp of 6-8 and react similar to a grass green. The course design will allow multi play to greens from varying tees. The location of the short game area & example of the product. This green will run around 10 on the stimp with multiple chipping stations.
